Terms of Service
The terms for using the hosted Relay service and this website. Relay is in early access, which shapes most of what follows.

What these terms cover
These terms apply to the hosted Relay service and this website. Relay is also open source under the MIT license. If you run your own deployment, that license governs the software and these terms do not apply to it.
Relay is in early access. Behaviour, features, and limits change without notice, and some things shown in the product as coming soon may never ship.
Accounts
Sign-up is email and password, and a new account joins your company's workspace. Keep your password to yourself. Activity under your account is treated as yours, including work the agent does on your behalf.
Your content
Your messages, files, and the memory built from them stay yours. You give us permission to store and process them for one purpose: running the service for you. That means composing turns, retrieving documents, capturing memory, running your schedules, and delivering output where you asked for it.
Answering a turn requires sending its content to the model provider your company has enabled. That provider's terms govern what it does with the content it receives.
Only upload content you have the right to upload, and do not connect an account you are not authorised to connect.
What the agent does for you
The agent acts as you, with your credentials and your permissions. A few consequences worth stating plainly:
- When you approve a command, you are responsible for what it does. Choosing to always allow whitelists a class of command, not the one string in front of you.
- Scheduled tasks run while nobody is watching and deliver output to the target you set. Review a schedule before you create it.
- The agent can be wrong. Check its output before you act on it, especially where money, code in production, or messages to other people are involved.
Acceptable use
Do not use Relay to:
- break the law, or infringe someone else's rights;
- attack, scan, spam, or overload anyone, including from a sandbox;
- mine cryptocurrency, host unrelated services, or otherwise use the sandboxes as general compute;
- work around scope isolation, the command policy, or the approval flow, or to reach content your permissions do not cover;
- resell or share hosted access outside your company.
Connected apps and Slack
Your connections to Google, GitHub, Linear, Notion, Slack, Dropbox, and X are governed by those providers' own terms. Revoking access there revokes it here. Installing Relay into a Slack workspace requires the authority to install apps in it.
Availability
There is no uptime commitment during early access. The service can be interrupted, changed, or withdrawn, and we may set limits on usage, storage, or sandbox time.
Suspension and ending
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts the service or other customers at risk. You can stop using Relay at any time and ask for your account and its scopes to be deleted.
No warranty
The service is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. Output is generated by a model and is not professional, legal, financial, or medical advice.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost profits, lost data, or indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the twelve months before the claim.
